Installing a ground source heat pump will minimize your home’s carbon footprint and reduce your combined hot water and space heating/air conditioning bill by up to 70%. Vertical loop systems and sonic drilling technology make it possible to install a ground source heat pump in any new or existing home in our area.

ENJOY THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONAL BENEFITS:
  • Suited to traditional or high velocity forced air and radiant heat systems
  • No combustion means no risk of fire or gas leaks, making heat pumps safer for your family
  • Quiet, comfortable and consistent
  • Increased resale value of home
  • 20-25 year system lifespan

WHAT TO EXPECT
  • GeoSonic works with your HVAC contractor (or refers you to one of our trade partners) to determine your home's heating and cooling needs.
  • The project team selects the correct brand and model of heat pump for your application and designs the vertical loop field.
  • GeoSonic drills and installs the loop field, surrounding each loop with high performance, thermally enhanced grout. Loops are pressure- and flow-tested before they are tied into the rest of the system.
  • Vertical loops are connected to horizontal pipes running into your home, either by GeoSonic or by your HVAC contractor. This is called headering.
  • The heat pump is installed in place of a traditional furnace. The supply and return pipes from the underground loop field are connected to the pump and the system is flushed and filled with water and non-toxic antifreeze.

Installing a ground source heat pump offsets the carbon emissions of 2 vehicles.
